What is Magnet Linker?

Magnet Linker registers as a handler for the magnet:// URL scheme on iOS. When you tap a magnet link in Safari/Chrome/Telegram/Reddit, the system opens Magnet Linker and the app copies the full link to your clipboard automatically. You can then paste it wherever you need.

Does Magnet Linker download torrents or stream content?

No. iOS doesn't allow torrent clients in the App Store. Magnet Linker only handles and copies links, and (optionally) triggers automations after copying. If you want to download in the cloud, connect your own service (e.g., put.io) via automation.

How do I copy magnet links on iOS?

1. Install Magnet Linker from the App Store.
2. Tap any magnet:// link in Safari, Chrome, Reddit, Telegram, etc.
3. Magnet Linker opens and copies the link.
4. Paste it in your preferred downloader or web service.

No setup or configuration required.

Which apps/browsers does it work with?

Any app that lets iOS open a magnet:// link: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Reddit, Telegram, many others. If the website uses custom JavaScript that blocks normal link behavior, try long-press → "Open" or open the page in Safari.

Why won't iOS copy magnet links natively?

iOS shows "Copy/Preview" for URL schemes it knows. magnet:// isn't supported, so Safari can't show the Copy menu. Magnet Linker registers as a handler so iOS knows where to send the link—then the app copies it for you.

What is "Run Action after Copying" (Automations)?

A Pro-level power feature that runs something after a magnet link is copied. Examples:

• Open a website (e.g., a cloud downloader page)
• Run a Shortcut (Shortcuts app)
• Open another app via URL scheme

You can configure a suggested service or set a custom URL template. There's a Test button to verify your setup.

Note: Magnet Linker doesn't download files—it just hands off the link to wherever you want.

Can I run a Shortcut or custom URL?

Yes.

• Shortcuts: Use the Shortcuts URL scheme to run a specific shortcut and pass the link as input.
• Custom URL: Provide any URL/app scheme that accepts the magnet as a parameter; Magnet Linker will open it after copying.

How does History work?

• Free: shows your most recent link.
• Pro: unlocks full history on-device (no cloud), with redacted previews for non-Pro until unlocked.

Is Pro a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase (price varies by region) that unlocks full history and removes ads. No subscriptions. No recurring billing.

Where is my data stored? Do you track me?

• On-device storage: History and settings stay on your device.
• No account. No cloud sync.
• Ads: Free users see banner ads. If iOS asks to allow tracking, that's Apple's system prompt for ads; you can decline.
• Analytics: Basic, anonymous event counts to improve the app (e.g., paywall views/purchases). No personal data.

Remove ads by upgrading to Pro.

Troubleshooting

Tapping a magnet link does nothing

• Make sure the link actually starts with magnet:?…
• Try Safari (some in-app browsers block custom schemes)
• Delete & reinstall Magnet Linker to reset the handler
• Reboot your device (iOS caches handlers)
• Test with the sample link: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:1234567890abcdef

Magnet link opens the wrong app

Another app may have claimed the handler first. Remove that app (or reinstall Magnet Linker last) to re-claim magnet://.

The copied link is missing trackers (tr= params)

Magnet Linker copies the exact URL iOS hands it. If a page hides trackers behind JavaScript, try opening the same link in Safari proper or use the site's "Copy magnet link" button if available.

"Why won't it download?"

Because Magnet Linker is not a downloader (App Store policy). Use Automations to open your own cloud service after copying.

Purchases, pricing, and restore

How much is Pro?

A small one-time purchase (regional pricing applies). Check the paywall inside the app for your local price.

How do I restore purchases?

• On the Settings → Magnet Linker Pro screen, tap Restore Purchases.
• Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to buy Pro.

I bought Ad-Free in an older version

You keep what you paid for. Some users may see a discounted upgrade path to Pro.

Refunds

All refunds are handled by Apple Support (we don't have access to billing).

iCloud / sync / export?

• Sync: Not available right now (data is local).
• Export: Not yet. If you need this, please request it via feedback—helps prioritize.

Do you integrate with cloud services (put.io, premiumize, seedr)?

You can open those services after copying via Automations (custom URL / Shortcut). Native integrations may come later based on demand.

Accessibility & languages

• Fully supports Dynamic Type and system dark mode.
• App language follows your device language (English first). If a translation would help, tell us.
